Deal Terms

A transaction in which a publicly traded company is acquired and delisted, becoming privately held. Take privates are a major PE activity and often involve large amounts of leverage.

Example

KKR, TPG, and Carlyle took Dell private in 2013, then returned it to public markets in 2021.
